Curb Style Bits
Curb bits are leverage bits which are generally ridden
with one hand. When the reins are pulled, the curb strap
puts pressure on the chin groove in addition to the
pressure in the mouth. Draft horse size now
available. |

Hackamore & Gag Style Bits
Hackamores are designed to create pressure across
the nose and to use curb chain pressure. Hackamore are
popular for speed events and of course bit sore horses.
Gag bits are also popular for speed eventers and others
who need to elevate the front of the horse. |

Tom Thumb Style
Snaffle Bits
While technically still a curb style bit, the shanks
move independently, which in conjunction with the snaffle
mouth, allows for more lateral flexibility. Frequently
used to help make the transition from a snaffle bit to a
curb. Draft horse sizes available here. |

Kimberwick
Style Bits

the tongue, while reins in the lower slots will increase
leverage and apply curb chain pressure. Heavy hunter & draft sizes
available here. |

Pelham Style Bits

with a second pair of reins or as an alternative
